Hudson Beach seawall repair, from Clark Street to Sea Ranch
A Hudson address can sit on several different canal routes. Name the waterway first, then assess the wall, dock and access conditions at that property.
Describe your project on this page ↓Identify the Hudson canal route
The county’s Hudson Beach study separates Hudson Main Channel, Sponge Crawl Creek near Clark Street and Harbor Drive Channel. Hudson Beach Estates, Sea Ranch on the Gulf and Pleasure Isles also appear as distinct recorded subdivisions. These names help locate a project, but they do not establish a wall’s condition, current water depth or equipment clearance.

Three channel routes, different site questions
Hudson Main: look below the surface
The 2020 study identifies irregular limestone and seagrass management areas around Hudson Main Channel. Ask what investigation is needed at the proposed wall footing and equipment route. Findings from a public channel survey do not establish the rock level or habitat at every parcel. Clark Street: account for public and private edges
The Sponge Crawl Creek route passes private structures and the beach and swimming area at Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park. The study also identifies turns near Yvette Drive and Josie Lane. Include turning room, neighboring docks and any public-use boundary in access planning. Harbor Drive: identify the entrance constraints
The study assessed wetlands, seagrass areas and existing structures at the Harbor Drive entrance. A clean-looking seawall photograph cannot resolve those off-site access questions. Use current observations and measurements. Pasco County Channel Improvements Project: Preliminary Design Report and Cost Estimates, September 2020
All these engineering observations date to 2020. They are context for questions, not current navigation advice or an approved private construction plan.
Sea Ranch, Pleasure Isles and Vista Del Mar
These neighboring waterfront areas are included here because the county tracks their public engineering as a separate group.
Check the correct public-project group
As of October 25, 2026, Hudson is listed in permitting; Sea Ranch, Vista Del Mar and Pleasure Isles remain in engineering, with an estimated October 29 report publication. Neither status is a construction promise.
Match the wall to its actual route
The 2020 report considered Pleasure Isles with the southern Signal Cove and Leisure Beach network. Use the canal serving your dock, not the nearest neighborhood name.

Separate wall condition from boat access
Ask how the bid handles rock investigation, restricted water access, dock conflicts and debris removal. Keep the cost of repairing the structure separate from any request to dredge or improve boat access beyond the property.
Published planning ranges, not a quote. Confirm design, permits, removal, access and restoration in the final proposal.

Hudson Beach, Sea Ranch & Pleasure Isles project questions
Does the county channel project include my seawall?
A channel-restoration listing does not approve or fund private wall repair. Keep your wall’s ownership, condition and permit scope separate from the public project.
Can I add dredging to a seawall repair?
Describe both activities from the start. Dredging has separate conditions, and a wall-repair permit should not be assumed to allow a deeper or wider channel.
Keep planning
